Originally, in the 18th century, Tenuta Villa La Chiusa Schnautzer belonged to a group of friars who made it a center of spiritual retreat, thanks also to the presence of the delightful chapel which, although now destined for another use, maintains the architectural features unchanged. Two centuries later, the Villa was bought by Countess Claudine De Pret, related to the Belgian Royals, who made it her summer residence (the name Schnautzer derives from the passion that Countess De Pret had for the same dog breed). Subsequently, in 1972, it was taken over by the current owners who have made significant improvements and embellishments to the property in these fifty years with the aim of respecting the history by enhancing its features and context.

Tenuta Villa La Chiusa Schautzer, as it can be admired today, is the result of the union between the undeniable charm of time and the love and dedication that over the years have committed us to enhance its beauty. We are therefore sure that spending a holiday in these residences can make you savor all this, and help you to find again, immersed in the greenery against the backdrop of a unique landscape, surrounded by a large park among often forgotten fruit, rhythms and sensations.

The complex is completely immersed in a large secular park of 2 hectares, surrounded by woods and hills from which the name La Chiusa derives, which frame the Villa. Moreover, given its favorable position, Tenuta Schnautzer is also an ideal starting point for endless excursions both on foot and by car, to discover all the treasures that our Tuscany offers us.
The itineraries are the most varied: artistic to discover precious Romanesque, medieval and Renaissance architectural monuments often unknown, food and wine to discover genuine flavors, handcrafted in the land of ceramics, antiques and restoration. The most beautiful cities of art in the world can be visited in one day and it is therefore possible to alternate moments of unforgettable relaxation with their visit.

Without a doubt, however, the main attraction remains Lucca, protected by its ancient walls considered among the most beautiful in the world, and perfectly preserved despite the recent significant influx of tourists. The center is mainly pedestrianized and it will certainly be an unmissable experience to explore it on foot, dine in one of the many renowned restaurants, go shopping in the streets among the most prestigious brands or explore the beautiful palaces and ancient churches.
